The Bishop is delighted to announce the appointment of the Rev Audrey O’Brien Stewart as Canon Missioner for the Diocese of Glasgow and Galloway.
Audrey comes from the US based Episcopal Church and is currently the Interim Priest for St Dunstan’s Church in the Diocese of Massachusetts.
Speaking about the announcement, Bishop Gregor said, “I’m looking forward to Audrey’s ministry amongst us. She brings new skills and new experiences into the diocese and we are delighted that she has accepted this role”.
As Canon Missioner, Audrey will also have a role at St Mary’s Cathedral.
Responding to the announcement, the Provost, Kelvin Holdsworth said, “I’m delighted that this appointment has been made and hope that it will lead to increasingly rich connections between the cathedral and the churches of the diocese.”
Audrey will be moving to Glasgow in the early summer and is expected to be taking up her post in August. She will be coming to the Diocesan Synod in March.
