The 2015 St Aidan’s Lectures will be delivered by Canon Ian Paton, Rector of Old St Paul’s, Edinburgh, Director of Liturgical Studies in the Scottish Episcopal Institute, Former Convenor of the SEC Liturgy Committee on Saturday, 18th April 10.30 – 15.30.
The subject will be: The Futures of Worship.
In 2012 St Aidan’s hosted the first in what it is hoped will become an annual series of public lectures on a subject relevant to our faith but also of potential interest to a wider public. The 2012 and 2013 lectures have been published in booklet form, and can be obtained from the church (see details below). In addition to the annual series, during 2013 St Aidan’s sponsored a day conference to mark the bicentenary of David Livingstone’s birth. The proceedings of this event have now also been published.
