On Sunday 12th June 2016, At 3pm, in  Glasgow Cathedral, Cathedral Square, Glasgow

The Queen’s Birthday celebration is being organized by Glasgow Churches Together, as part of our annual Glasgow the Welcoming City event.   We are keen to have as big an attendance as possible and are requesting that all our member churches encourage representation from their parishes.

Sir Kenneth Calman is speaking on the day, the Lord Provost will be represented, the Dean of the Chapel Royal the Very Rev. Prof Iain Torrance and Chaplains in Ordinary to the Queen along with the Church Leaders, uniformed organizations, military and emergency services will attend and  be represented on the day.

There will be representation from the member churches of GCT as well as civic and political leaders, police and ambulance service, education, members of the various congregations and citizens of Glasgow and the surrounding area.

Music will be led by the Cathedral Choir with Organist Andrew Forbes, the St Mungo Singers under the direction of Mgr. Gerry Fitzpatrick and Carissa Bovill playing Clarsach.

A retiring collection will be taken for CHAS, Children’s Hospice Association Scotland.
